I was the only one at Faugheen this year and to get there I had to bring my 2 little boys aged 2 1/2 and 4.
To say it was challenging was an understatment, although I have to give a big thanks to the babysitters
who endured the torture of my boys while I practiced and raced. Thank you very much. Without you I could
not have raced.
Any way, practice went ok. We had dry ,sunny weather and the road was breaking up. I qualified in 16th
place which was ok. I was happy with that because it really was my first race meeting.
The plan was to go kamakaze into the 1st turn and wing it from there. Well that didn't happen. I got the
jump on the rest off the line, but by the time i put her into 2nd, most of the 650's were past me. There
wasn't much point trying to out break them all, so I got 2 of them and had fun for the rest of the race. I
finished 15th in the end with an improvement of 2 seconds over last years times. I also scored a point for
15th place. I have never failed to score points on the 400, this year or last.
