the race. I entered the pre97 race on my 400 honda.
Thought it was going to be tough against the 600 on the 2
long straights, but when we got there, the bottom end of the
track was under water so the short track was the only way
we could get to race. This meant that there could only be 20
on track for practice and qualifying and only 18 on the grid
for the race. As the straights were shortened and there was
a twisty section, I was confident of qualifying.
I didn't get a good run in qualifying, but still managed to
get 13th. Only bad thing about that was that meant the 4th
row and stuck on the inside for the 1st turn. the 600's get a
better start, so I got boxed in and had to work my way back
up the field. It took a few laps. The only problem I had was in
the tight twisty section. I was faster than the lads on the
600's and kept getting held up in the tight sections and they
kept pulling out a gap on me on the straights. I had fun trying
